I live in Portsmouth but still drive all the way across the water for their honey lemon pepper wings. They are the best! I'm also a fan of their cabbage and collard greens. Not so much a fan of their yams or turkey wings and the mac and cheese is ok. I'll have to continue to visit to try all other dishes.

This place was amazing. We reserved ahead of time, and there was about a 15 min wait when we arrived. The staff were very informal about the kitchen backup. However, they served our appetizers and drinks to keep us comfortable while we waited for our meals. Food was great had good taste and cooked very well. The appetizers were the best. Our waiter was top notch, she made sure we had everything we needed and consistently checked on us. They didn't have a good selection of desserts but I would still recommend this place.

This was my first time, and I had an amazing time! Went early in the day, and the main course had been fresh and delicious, 10/10. Our server, Mike, had been very friendly and made the experience personalized and added to the amazing experience of the atmosphere and food. Will definitely be coming back again!

Wow I’ve really found some Southern food! Definitely try it out. But ask for seasoning on the catfish bites. It’s pretty flavorless plain. The honey lemon pepper chicken wings are great. The turkey wings are good. And the crab dip is excellent with real crab inside!

I went to lunch with my friend and we had a great lunch. We had the spinach an artichoke dip for an appetizer. We had a couple of drinks for happy hour with our food. We had the catfish, Mac and cheese, fries; and I had the shrimp basket with fries and cabbage. Not only was the service good , but the food was hot, fresh, made -to - order. And the bartender was 'ON POINT' with the drinks!!!!

This was our first time at Southern Comfort and it was lovely! We were a little hesitant going there with a 5 year old who had already had her heart set on a specific meal (she only wanted sausage). Thankfully our amazing waitress, Adria, was terrific with her and helped us to get her a meal our girl would enjoy. She also suggested the best possible sauce to try on my chicken wings, honey lemon pepper, and it was DELICIOUS! I also LOVE that their cornbread is sweet. We will certainly be going back!

Came down from NJ too visit family, my cousin found this spot for brunch and wow this is the best food I’ve had during my time here! Our server Dominique greeted my family warmly and really made our experience lovely! I ordered the catfish bites with rice & collard greens…. Delicious!!!!! ???????????? see pic for leftover pics lol.. I will be visiting this spot and again next time and hopefully we get Dominique as our waitress again!

Yes, it's a bit off the beaten path, but don't let that deter you. Inside, you'll find some of the best soul food you'll ever taste. First up, the mac and cheese - oh my goodness! Creamy, cheesy perfection that will make you crave more with every bite. The fried chicken is crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and seasoned to perfection. It's hands down the best fried chicken I've ever had. The cornbread is fluffy and just the right amount of sweet, a perfect complement to the savory dishes. And the crabcakes? Absolutely divine. Packed with flavor and just the right amount of crunch. Lastly, the turkey wings are fall-off-the-bone tender and bursting with rich, savory goodness. The staff are friendly and make you feel right at home. Southern Comfort is a must-visit if you love soul food. Five stars all the way!

This lil southern Digs in the corner of the complex with a close knit community watering hole kind of feel, Dominique was very attentive as she manned the bar as well as the tables. So the order were as follows Happy Hour appetizers were catfish bites, and comfort wings with honey barbecue, the I ordered the smothered pork chops with yams and collard greens, the Mrs. Had a taste for turkey wings cabbage and yams and mother requested shrimp collards yams. With smooth R&B in the background Setting the mood for a major food masacre the greens were smack yo momma good the yams were buttery southern deliciousness the turkey wings smothered in omg goodness the pork chops and the Shrimp was thumps up scrumptious Inspire of the old reviews this place on this night turn over a new leaf of incredibly comforting and flavorful southern food a Hampton Must try!

Came to Southern Comfort for my friend's graduation brunch! The atmosphere was definitely enjoyable. Dominique was our server and I loved her! You can tell she was really transparent about her recommendations as well as being attentive to providing service. The food was great too!
